Cannabis Analytical Services
Foreign Matter
Microscopic identification of insects, eggs, hair, feces, packing material etc.
Moisture
We use the following techniques for Moisture Content measurements:
- Mettler Toledo Karl Fischer (KF) Titration
- Mettler Toledo Moisture Analyzer
Cannabinoid Profile & Potency Testing
This test identifies and measures the concentrations of 12 of the following cannabinoids:
- THCa Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid
- Δ9-THC Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol
- Δ8-THC Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol
- THCV Tetrahydrocannabivarin
- CBDa Cannabidiolic Acid
- CBD Cannabidiol
- CBDVa Cannabidivarinic Acid
- CBDV Cannabidivarin
- CBN Cannabinol
- CBGa Cannabigerolic Acid
- CBG Cannabigerol
- CBC Cannabichromene
Cannabis Terpene Profiling
Terpenes are the volatile compounds that give both cannabis, marijuana and hemp flowers their unique aroma. We can quantify the concentrations of 23 active terpenes in a wide array of product types.
Residual Solvents
Identification and quantification of harmful solvents, impurities, and/or other added odorants and chemicals that may be present in super-concentrated forms of Cannabis preparations such as Ethanol or Butane.
Pesticide Residue analysis
Analysis of the plant material to ensure that no unapproved pesticides have been used in the growing of the crop and that there are no pesticide residues that might be harmful for human consumption.
Heavy Metals Analysis
A plant is the product of the environment it was grown in. Heavy metals in the soil or substrate might be incorporated in the plant material and needs to be tested for. Heavy metals would include elements such as Chromium, Cadmium, Arsenic, Lead, and Mercury.
Aflatoxin Testing
Aflatoxins are a group of mycotoxins produced by certain types of molds. They are considered to be poisonous and carcinogenic hence testing for presence of these mycotoxins is a priority.
We apply validated methods for the determination of individual Aflatoxins (B1+B2+G1+G2) utilizing HPLC methods instrumentation.
Microbiological Analysis
Mold analysis is important to identify the presence or absence of any molds or other pathogens that have developed as a result of plants remaining in a moist environment either in the field or while being dried or stored
